This year’s dog show features more than 2,500 breeds falling into seven breed categories. Throughout the show, dogs will participate in the 11th Annual Masters Agility Championship, Best of Breeds, and many more events. At the end of the multi-day show comes the final portion when the top dogs are recognized as Reserve Best in Show and Best in Show, which is the ultimate title. One young handler will receive a special award for Best Junior Handler.

The 2024 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show features commentary from an impressive lineup of reporters and experts. This year, there are nearly 2,500 dogs competing to take the Best in Show crown from Buddy Holly — the Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen who stole the show in 2023. From Hound and Sporting to Toy and Terrier, the dogs will be tested across competitions including agility, obedience and, new this year, a dock diving trial.

The 2024 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show begins Saturday, May 11, and runs through Tuesday, May 14. The weekend starts with the Masters Obedience Championship and Masters Agility Championship on Saturday. Then, the main show takes place on Monday, May 13, and concludes on Tuesday, May 14 with the Best in Show round and the Junior Showmanship Finals.

The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show begins with the masters agility preliminaries on Saturday, May 11, on Fox starting at 5 a.m. PT/8 a.m. ET. It then moves to the masters agility finals on Sunday, May 12 on Fox at 11 a.m. PT/2 p.m. ET.
